Herve Francois (1978, French nationality) has joined ING in 2011. He is currently Blockchain Initiative Lead at ING Netherlands with a focus on Digital Assets and has some twenty years of work experience in Financial Market environment (ranging from quantitative analyst, structuring team, trading to innovation) within 5 different countries (USA, France, Hong Kong, Japan and Netherlands). Herve is working on different innovation projects related to Blockchain / Distributed Ledger Technology. ING Blockchain program has delivered over 50 proofs of concept in collaboration with the following business areas: payments, trade finance and working capital solutions, financial markets, post-trade, bank treasury, lending, compliance and identity. Entrepreneur minded and business oriented, Herve is responsible to bring proof of concept into production, capitalizing on technology potential in order to unlock mass-scale value. A good example is Pyctor, a digital assets post-trade market infrastructure to securely issue, access and manage digital assets in a regulatory compliant manner.
